Children’s Ministries

Children’s ministries are designed for those six weeks through grade 5 to grow in relationship with Jesus during worship and other weekend activities designed to engage children with building their faith. Our curriculum is family-friendly and family-focused to teach key lessons from God’s word through fun and creative approaches. Our Children’s and Family Ministries Coordinator, Emily Joyner, and church volunteers are excited to partner with parents in educating the youngest disciples of Jesus.

Safe Sanctuaries

Safe-sanctuaries is an outward expression in making congregations safe places where children and youth may experience the abiding love of God and fellowship within the community of faith.

Safe Sanctuary Policy

The United Methodist Church has adopted a policy for the protection of children and youth involved in its ministries and for the protection of workers against frivolous accusations. Sandbridge Community Chapel UMC has adopted a Safe-Sanctuary policy so that anyone working with children and youth or involved in any children’s or youth ministries must be Safe-Sanctuary certified. This is a two-step process: Step One: Applicants must complete and pass a criminal background check. Step Two: Applicants must attend Safe-Sanctuary training, annually.
